The accused who is facing the case of murdering his wife and then burning her with two sacks of charcoal, Khamis Luwongo today at the Kisutu Court in Dar es Salaam has requested to see the Magistrate of the Court. The defendant, who is popularly known as Meshack, submitted the application today when his case was called for mention before the Senior Resident Magistrate, Rhoda Ngimilanga. The same defendant reached out and asked Judge Ngimilanga to get permission to meet with Judge Mfawidhi, however, in his response Judge Ngimilanga told the Defendant that if he meets with Judge Mfawidhi, he should write him a letter and when he gets it he will give instructions on the day to meet him. On his part, the State Attorney, Nguka Faraji has claimed that the investigation of the case has not been completed, so he is asking for another date to be mentioned, Judge Ngimilanga has agreed to the request and scheduled the case for January 13, 2023. In the case, the defendant Luwongo who is a resident of Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam is alleged to have killed Naomi Marijani on May 15, 2019 while in Gezaulole in Kigamboni area and then set her on fire using two bags of charcoal where he took the deceased's ashes and went to bury them in his farm. #COURTS.
