Happy New Year 2023. Yanga SC fans have been given a new year's gift by their team after yesterday's 1-0 win against Mtibwa Sugar, in the Premier League game played at Manungu Stadium, Morogoro. The first 45 minutes ended with the scoreboard of Manungu Stadium reading Mtibwa Sugar 0-1 Yanga, with a lot of work on the defensive side of Mtibwa Sugar. Thanks to Stephane Aziz Ki who scored the goal in the 26th minute with a free kick that beat Mtibwa Sugar's goalkeeper, Razack Kimweri, hit him and went into the net. Aziz Ki was given the responsibility to shoot a foul and he did it in the 24th, 35th and 45th minute. His shot in the 45th minute, Kimweri managed to save and made his goal safe. For Mtibwa Sugar, it was David Kameta who made an attempt in the 41st minute that was not aimed at the same goal as Ismail Aidan's in the 42nd minute. The goalkeeper of Yanga, Djigui Diarra, met a hot shot in the 39th minute where he managed to save and keep his goal safe. Until the first 45 minutes ended, the result was Mtibwa 0-1 Yanga.
