Today Thousands of Argentine residents on Tuesday have flocked to the streets of the capital city of Buenos Aires, to cheer on their team that took the world cup led by star Lionel Messi. A large crowd was said to have stopped the convoy containing the team's bus. Players could not reach the Obelisco statue in the center of the city as planned due to security reasons. Local media estimated that around 4 million people gathered in the city. The players had to be evacuated from their bus by helicopter. Matias Gomez, who is a 25-year-old blacksmith, said that the celebrations are one of the most important events to be witnessed in human life.
